We're a team of IT professionals with many years of experience working with manufacturers. We noticed the same problems turning up day after day and knew there had to be a better way. We decided to fix the problem ourselves instead of waiting around for a solution. We started Sampo Labs to build those fixes once and share them with our customers.
We hold our tools to two rules:

If using one feels like the natural way to get the task done, we built it right.
The name comes from the Kalevala, the Finnish epic. The Sampo is a mill forged by the smith Ilmarinen that grinds out flour, salt, and gold on its own. A machine that quietly produces value every day felt like the right thing to name a company after.
